Welcome to my web page! I
have been a teacher at Wilson since September of 1998.
Prior to that, I taught in San Francisco for 11 years.
I also taught nursery school for a number of years while
raising my own children.
Born
and raised in San Francisco, I received my B.A. and
teaching credential from the University of San
Francisco, and completed much additional coursework from
a variety of Bay Area universities.
This
year I am working with Home Study K-12 students on
Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays. Tuesdays and Thursdays
I work with high school seniors in the Independent Study
or “Minors” program. I also coordinate the community
service graduation requirement for Wilson High School.
I am
committed to the mission and goals of our alternative
high school. My strong belief is that each student
needs to find and follow his or her individual path to
knowledge…each can be successful if he or she receives
support and encouragement along the way. I take a
personal interest in each of my students and am happy to
be part of a staff that works well together to guide
students toward achievement of their goals.
You
can reach me on campus in Room 31…by phone at 423-3600,
voice mail 6611…by email at
celgin@scu.k12.ca.us. Please do not hesitate to
contact me with any questions or concerns…it is good
communication that helps to solve problems and further
understanding.
